An exceptional welcome, classy without being over the top. The staff was remarkable and genuinely kind. The dishes were prepared with seasonal ingredients and of high-quality and refinement. The decor was exquisite and the room was magnificent. A place that exceeded all expectations.

Magnificent club room, different lighting effects, king bed, refrigerator, coffee machine, large bathroom, complimentary water, castle style… but classy. ​However, the bathroom was a little cold… The impeccable 3-course dinner… it’s also a hotel school… The package is really interesting… perfect value for money. The staff were professional and very friendly staff throughout. Highly recommended… and also the cable car is only 250 meters away… no need for a car… 7 minutes to the center of Namur…

The striking contrast of a castle in peace and quiet setting, surrounded by greenery, just a stone’s throw from the city (via the cable car) is what catches my attention. The birthday meal is widely raved by all the guests.
Staff were always attentive and passionate about learning their craft or supervising those who are training.

The main advantages of this place:
The location: quiet, at the top of the citadel in a green but discreet setting, away from the tourist crowds.
The rooms: spacious and original with beautiful decor and adaptable lighting (level of lighting and colour).
The restaurant: whether at breakfast or dinner, the service is very good. Sometimes, there are some minor drawbacks because the waiters are still in hotel management school, but they are still very attentive and provide quality service. The food is equally excellent, whether at the breakfast buffet or the dinner menu. Full of flavors and quality ingredients.
I totally recommend it, especially with the half-board package.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 35 years. We love the hilltop location overlooking Namur and the immense Vauban citadel, and now with the cable car that takes you to the city center in 7 minutes, it’s even better.
We always try to have dinner at the hotel, served by students from the attached hotel school.
We truly believe the castle has improved since our last stays. Our room was modern and elegant. The staff was professional and helpful. We look forward to our next stay.
