Welcome to the Hotel Campus
A center of excellence enabling greater synergies between various hospitality training institutions. This active and complementary collaboration brings a unique dynamic to the service of highly qualified teaching.
What does its history tell us?
In 1978, the Province of Namur transformed the famous AMIGO Hotel, located on the Citadel, into a training hotel-restaurant for the Ecole Hôtelière Provinciale of Namur (EHPN).
Although students from the Namur Province Hotel School are required to complete internships in various renowned establishments, this time, the aim was to better standardize the assessment for trainees. We needed to ensure that 100% of EHPN graduates share at least one experience at the Château de Namur.
Ten years later, in 1988, the Château de Namur became a partner of the brand-new hotel management program. From then on, the goal was to share 100% of the Château’s business with these students. While private operators were reluctant to share their results, the Château set itself the goal of sharing all figures with these students, without exception. Thus, 365 daily reports, 12 monthly reports, and one annual report would be scrutinized by students of the Bachelor’s program in Hotel Management from the Province of Namur: the HEPN. It was their responsibility to analyze these reports, critique the decisions made, and formulate future strategies.
The Château de Namur is the ideal place to practice hotel management. Students will be able to explore aspects of marketing, communication, human resources, purchasing, sales dynamics, and more.
